BETHEL SUNDAY FAQ’s

While we await our permanent building, we are currently meeting in a large, enclosed wedding style tent. Our hope for this page is to give you more information about what to expect on Sundays during this temporary tent season. If you have additional questions, please email us at info@bethelatlanta.com.

  • What should I expect while we are meeting in the tent?

    What to expect:

Our tent is covered and enclosed with sides.  During the summer, we roll up the sides and bring in large fans to circulate air since we do not have air conditioning.  During the winter, we roll down the sides and have heaters for the tent.  Please dress comfortably for outdoor weather including comfortable shoes.

  • What parking is available at the property?

    Available parking:

While we have parking near the tent for seniors, handicapped individuals and expectant mothers, the majority of our parking in is a gravel lot several meters away from the tent.  Please wear shoes you would feel comfortable walking across gravel and other uneven terrains.  If there has been recent rain, the parking lot, children’s playground and walkway to the tent can get muddy.

  • Is your location handicap accessible?

    Handicap access:

Yes, we have handicap accessible parking next to the tent.  We also have a handicap accessible bathroom available in the Lodge on our property.  If you need assistance, please let one of our parking attendants or greeters know as you arrive.

  • What childcare options are available on Sundays?

    Childcare options:

Yes, both our Kingdom Tots and Kingdom Kids ministry operates on Sunday mornings.  Our Kingdom Tots classes are for infants through Pre-K and they meet in our church offices on Sunday mornings.  You must check your child in prior to the start of service and their class lasts throughout the service.  These classes do have max capacities based on the size of our rooms, so please arrive early to sign your kids in.  Our Kingdom Kids ministry is for children in K5-5th grade and they meet in the Lodge on our property during the Sunday morning message.  Please keep your Kingdom Kids age children with you during worship and they will be released to their class during offering.

  • What bathroom facilities are available during this tent season?

    Bathroom options:

We have high-quality portable trailer bathrooms available for everyone on our property.  We also have a handicap accessible bathroom in the Lodge.

  • What to expect in the case of severe weather?

    Weather policy:

During this temporary tent season, there is a possibility of service cancellations due to weather.  In the event of severe weather, please check our social media and website on Sunday morning for potential cancellations prior to driving down for a service.  We will always cancel the service if the NWS issues a tornado watch or warning for Fayette County, GA.
